I am a freelance consultant with over 20 years of experience working on sustainable food and agriculture with leading non-governmental organisations. Throughout my career, I have led ambitious projects across the food system, collaborating with foundations, businesses and movements at local and global levels.

I am passionate about using my knowledge, experience and network to help transform our food system in a way that supports planetary health and social justice. My strengths lie in strategic planning, research, stakeholder engagement, partnership development, horizon scanning and foresight, fundraising, and managing complex projects.

I recently stepped down as Executive Director of Eating Better, a coalition of over 60 influential non-governmental organisations, including Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace and WWF, working to create a fairer, healthier, and more sustainable food system.

Since leaving Eating Better, I have taken on various projects for organisations and funders. For the Food, Farming and Countryside Commission, I have been amplifying the largest citizen conversation on food. With Compassion in World Farming, I have explored the opportunities to engage with the new government. Additionally, I have supported Healthy Food and Healthy Planet in developing their strategy for supporting subnational action and movement building.

I am a respected expert on the global food system and its connections to climate, nature, health, and animal welfare. I work to create holistic solutions to these interconnected challenges. I have been invited to advise government bodies such as the Environmental Audit Committee and the Committee on Climate Change, trade bodies such as the Public Sector Catering Alliance, and major food businesses in the retail and food service sectors.

As an experienced communicator and public speaker, I have shared insights on food system issues across various platforms including The Times, Radio 4 Farming Today, The Grocer, New Food and many more.
